BMW Concept 4 Looks Unique and Controversial With a Giant Grill

Through the launch of Concept 4 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW has indirectly previewed the upcoming M3 and M4 designs. This shows that the new Series 4 will be the beginning of a radical design change from its predecessor and has a face dominated by the giant grille that characterizes it.

The German car manufacturer's press release began with a topic related to the new Grill. According to BMW, the vertically oriented grille is designed according to and proportional to the front end and the triumph of the past of BMW, as well as generating classic models such as 328 and 3.0 CSi.

"Kidney grille is always a distinctive feature of BMW cars," said BMW Design head Domagoj Dukec. "BMW Concept 4 presents an iconic look that is confident and classy. At the same time, the BMW Concept 4 offers a foresight to the expressive face of the 4 Series lineup. "

Around the Concept 4 grill there are a number of other highlights, including sleek and aggressive laser lights and a sizable air intake. In addition, it also features very expressive sides, sleek mirrors that partly feature an aluminum finish, as well as 21-inch alloy wheels with a five-finger pattern.

Despite having a controversial front design, but it looks inviting attention and harmony with the rear fascia. The most important features on the back are the flowing LED lights, the angled bumper with gloss black diffuser and the end of the large rectangular chrome exhaust pipe.

BMW has not yet announced detailed information about the technology embedded in Concept 4, but it is not very important because the concept car is only intended to provide an overview of the new Series 4 form. Meanwhile, news blows that the new M3 and M4 will use an updated 3,000cc twin-turbo twin-cylinder engine such as the new X3 M and X4 M which produces 473 horsepower as standard and 503 horsepower in Competition specifications.
