The 2013 Acura RDX is Acura's compact Luxury SUV. Capable of seating 5 people, it is stylish, modern and somewhat sportier than many of its rivals. The RDX has been optimized for on road performance and fuel economy rather than serious offroad work, but all-wheel drive is available. The RDX features a luxurious quiet interior with plenty of standard features.
2013 Acura RDX Model changes
Acura has redesigned the RDX for the 2013 model year. Being a complete redesign, Acura's compact crossover SUV receives a bevy of changes, including new sheetmetal and a switch to V6 power. The interior is likewise redesigned and now features new technologies like Pandora Radio and an SMS text messaging feature. A wider wheelbase, longer track and lower center of gravity combine to give the new RDX improved handling dynamics without compromising the ride, while also providing more interior volume for driver and passengers.
Competent; luxurious; attractive and full of technology
In standard trim the 2013 Acura RDX is well equipped, with the kind of items a buyer would expect in the small luxury crossover segment. Leather seating, an 8 speaker 360 watt stereo, a 10-way adjustable power driver's seat, a backup camera and Bluetooth and iPod connectivity are all standard on even the most basic RDX's. Add the technology package and the list of standard equipment grows considerably. As the name would imply, the technology package significantly upgrades many of the electronics on the 2013 Acura RDX. It adds a navigation system, upgrades and adds voice activation to the stereo, motorizes the rear liftgate and upgrades the low beams to HID units while adding an attractive set of fog lamps to the front of the vehicle. Options across all RDX models include a wood grain interior and a large selection of roof racks catering to everything from kayaking to snowboarding.
